Gastronomic restaurant La Turballe — Les Embruns
At 12 rue du Port, 60 meters from the auction, Les Embruns is the only Sélection Tables d'Auteur restaurant in La Turballe. Chef Maëlys Kermarrec, single 7-course menu at €145.
La Turballe is a 3,200-inhabitant commune in Loire-Atlantique, anchored at the northwestern tip of the Guérande Peninsula. Its fishing port, one of the most active on the Atlantic facade between Vendée and Finistère, lands blue lobster, line-caught sea bass, sole, langoustines and shellfish each morning. At Les Embruns, this port is our raw material — Maëlys Kermarrec descends to the auction every day at 5:12 AM, and the menu composes itself within the following hour.
Why Les Embruns in La Turballe
Fifth French fishing port by auction value according to FranceAgriMer 2024, La Turballe guarantees raw material freshness only direct-landing ports can claim. No intermediary between boat, auction and our kitchen.
Our dining room has twelve covers. Dinner service only, Tuesday through Sunday, closed Mondays. Chef presents each dish from the open kitchen station. Reservation essential, sometimes three to six weeks ahead.
Single 7-course menu at €145. 7-glass wine pairing add-on at €65 — selection Loire (Muscadet sur lie, Anjou-Saumur), Brittany (Cornouailles farmhouse ciders), with Alsace incursions for oysters and Burgundy for cheese.
